This Magento 2 custom options discount extension introduces an extra discount feature for the custom options during checkout such as Personalization, Gift wrap, and many more. Magento 2 doesn't support discounts on custom options by default. Whereas using this extension you can create custom options as per your requirement and provide discounts on them. What’s amazing is that you will be able to write custom rules and conditions for the custom options as well. For instance, if you only want to apply discounts for a certain custom option of a product or a feature then you can create conditions using custom option SKU/Title accordingly and provide discounts on those options only. The goal of This Extension

The default promotions feature in Magento 2 helps you create discounts and coupons on the products. However, it does not extend to the custom options during checkout. SCENARIO: 1

“We provide an option to gift wrap for certain products in our store. Can we use your extension to provide a discount on gift wrap during festive seasons such as Christmas? Also is it possible to apply discounts on custom options of only one category of products? for example: we have multiple categories of products with "gift wrap" custom option such as Gears, Bags, Watches, etc and we only want to provide discount on "Bags".”

Yes, our extension can help you achieve that exactly. You can create a custom option “Gift wrap” for all the desired products. Once you have done that go to Marketing>Promotions>Cart Price Rules and create a new rule as you do normally. Once you have your discount in place scroll down to “Actions” tab. Here set “Only for selected Custom Option?” to yes. Now you can set a condition using either “custom options title” or “custom options SKU” to select your specific Gift wrap custom option. Finally save and your discount will be applicable on all products containing custom option Gift Wrap. Now to apply custom option discount on a certain category for example bags. Add a condition from the conditions column or from the Actions column where select category and then bags. So now your discount will be only applicable on the custom options of the products under category "Bags".

“Our store offers custom option "engraving" for certain products for example we have 5 letter engraving and 10 letter engraving. We want to provide a certain discount for 10 letter engraving only. How can we use your extension to achieve this for our products?”

You can very easily achieve this functionality for your products using our extension. To start with go to your specific product and select edit from the action column. Scroll down to the option "Customizable Options". Now click on Add option and create your custom option engraving as you see in the image below. Once you have your custom option ready go to Marketing>Promotions>Cart Price rules and create a new rule as you would normally. Then scroll down to the actions column and select whether which type of discount you want to apply for example fixed, percentage or Buy x get Y free. For this example we have selected a fixed discount of 2 Euros. Next ensure that "Only for selected custom option?" is set to "yes" then scroll down and select "Custom Option SKU" in the condition. Here we will only provide the SKU for our 10 letter engraving so that our discount is only applied on this custom option. Lastly when everything is setup you will be able to see the discount getting applied on the order with selected 10 letter engraving.

A. Please make sure you have the right license key in your configuration as our license keys are domain specific.

A. Yes, you can apply a discount on all custom options altogether. Go to Marketing>Cart Price Rules and create your discount rule then under the Actions tab make sure "Only for selected Custom Option?" is set to 'yes'. A. You can select a specific custom option to provide discount by applying conditions. First navigate to Marketing>Cart Price Rules in Your admin panel and a create a new discount. Then under the Actions tab ensure that "only for selected custom option" is set to "yes". Finally go to conditions. Here you can use either "Custom Options title" or "Custom Options SKU" to select a specific custom option and your discount will be applicable on it. select custom option
Q. Can I provide custom options discount using Catalog Price Rules?
A. No, custom options discount is only possible via Cart Price Rules.
Q. Suppose if the discount price is greater than the price of the custom option. For example, assume we have a custom option called personalization with a price tag of 5euro and we have created a custom options discount of 10euro. Then how will the discount be processed in this case?
A. Let us say you are providing a discount of 10euros for custom options in your store and the price of custom option “Personalization” is 5euros then, in this case, the customer will only get a discount of 5euros. On that note, if you are providing the 10 euro discount on all custom options and you have multiple custom options the discount amount will be deducted from the total sum of all the custom options selected. custom options question

A. Yes, you can provide custom options discount in terms of percentage. Go to your cart price rule and then in the Actions menu. Here select "Percent of Product Price Discount" from the Apply dropdown and make sure "Only for Selected Custom Option?" is set to "yes". A. Yes, our extension has an option by which you can restrict the custom option discount to specific number of quantities in a purchase. Q. How can I get license key for my development website?
A. Please use the same license as live site provided with the order confirmation email on the staging site and ensure you have the latest version of scommerce/core installed i.e 2.0.6.
Once added go to Stores>Configuration>Scommerce Configuration> Core and set "Development Environment" to "Yes" then click on verify. Once verified the license will start working on your staging site.

Q.Where can I download the extension files?

Q.Can you provide a key that works for our development (NOT PRODUCTION) environment which will work on a dynamic URL, for example, 12334.gitpod.com and 4567.gitpod.com?
A. Unfortunately it is not possible to generate license keys based on the dynamic URLs. License keys need to be generated per domain or subdomain whether it is production or non-production.
Q. How can I manually uninstall your module?
A. Please follow the below steps -:

Step 1: Navigate to our store and login to your account. Then go to the My Account Section, on the left menu click on Composer Instructions.
