Talkmind is an online mental health service that allows you to speak to a mental health professional (psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist and occupational therapist) from the comfort of your home, at a time that suits you. You can choose one of their compassionate and experienced professionals in their team, who can provide you with a full assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plan for various mental health difficulties, such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, etc.
The Challenge & the Solution
The Challenge: The challenge was to migrate the existing website to a new platform while integrating various third-party modules and ensuring that the core requirements of the client were fully met. The previous setup relied on Calendly URLs embedded through JavaScript iframes, which created a less-than-optimal booking experience for users.
The Solution: We transitioned Talkmind’s website from HUGO to Magento 2, a robust eCommerce platform that offers enhanced flexibility and scalability. This migration allowed us to create a modern, intuitive design with a clean interface and vibrant colors that reflect the brand’s mission meanwhile simplyfing the onboarding and booking process. We integrated Calendly APIs directly into the booking process, replacing the previous iframe method. This integration provides users with a seamless and user-friendly experience when scheduling appointments with mental health professionals, ensuring that accessing care is as straightforward as possible.

With Magento 2 as its content management system, Talkmind now benefits from faster page load times, robust customization options, and a more scalable architecture. A dedicated treatment pathway guides patients through the steps of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment, allowing them to book appointments directly with their chosen clinician. Additionally, we created various static pages to provide in-depth information about Talkmind's services, team, and treatment pathways, further enhancing user engagement and understanding.
Domain Change
We successfully assisted Talkmind in transitioning its domain name from TalkMind.co to TalkMind.com. This change reflects a commitment to global reach and recognition, enhancing the site's traffic, ranking, and overall branding. The .com extension not only improves search engine preference but also mitigates confusion with other similar sites, helping to establish a clear brand identity and authority in the mental health industry.
Streamlined Onboarding Process for New Doctors
The onboarding process for new psychologists and therapists has been revolutionized. Previously, onboarding had to be done manually, requiring code changes to add new doctors. With Magento 2, the process is now streamlined and can be managed directly by the client, providing them with the flexibility to expand their team as needed. This self-service capability reduces administrative burdens and speeds up the time from recruitment to service delivery, creating a smooth experience for both doctors and patients.
