5 Highly recommended extension!!!
Well pleased with this extension, it not only allows us to set Canonical URLs for each and every page of our website but also gives us an option in admin to set NO FOLLOW and NO INDEX for each or group of pages. Even their support is great, we asked them to generate license key for our two testing sites and they did it in no time!
5 Solves our major issue!
This extension has solved our major issue, we wanted to add category path in the canonical URL of the product pages but regardless of Magento feature "Use category path for Product URL's" being enabled we were not getting category path in the canonical URL because all our products are in multiple categories and there is no way to set main category in Magento. This extension comes with the dropdown where we can select primary category and it does the magic!

Product description

Magento Canonical Urls for Category, Product and CMS pages by Scommerce Mage Ltd.

Compatible with Magento 2 community and enterprise 2.3.3 - 2.4.x including cloud edition

This module allows you to set canonical URL link tag in head section for category, product and CMS pages. It also allow you set "no index, no follow" or "index, no follow" and "no index, follow" for each and every page of your website

Here are the main features of this module:-

  • It allows you to add or override canonical URL tag for category pages
  • It allows you to add or override canonical URL tag for product pages with or without category path
  • It allows you to add primary category path in canonical tag for product pages
  • It allows you to add canonical URL tag for cms pages
  • It allows you to set No Index and No Follow for any page of your website including specific CMS, product and category pages

For example you can add ?limit=all to all category pages which means google will only index one unique category URL instead of many version of same category page

  • It fully supports multi websites and store**
  • It can be used along side Magento inbuilt canonical tag functionality

Q. I have two live domains, do I need a separate license key for each live domain?
A. Yes you need to buy a separate license key for each live domain (www.site.com) or sub-domain (de.site.com) or subfolder (www.site.com/de). If you are buying licenses for more than four live sites in one transaction then we can offer you 30% discount on total amount
Q. How can I upgrade my extension to the latest version?

A. Unfortunately it is not possible to generate license keys based on the dynamic URLs. License keys need to be generated per domain or subdomain whether it is production or non-production.

Q. How do you handle canonical tags?
A. The way we handle canonical tags is allow you to add the following tag for search engines on your category pages http://www.site.co.uk/category.html?limit=all. For example, (please view our demo site) http://demo.scommerce-mage.co.uk/electronics/cameras/digital-cameras.html?limit=all
Q. What does "Exclude Current Category in Admin" actually do?
A. It does not show the current category in the admin itself. Eg., if you are changing women category, then it doesn't show women category in the drop down.
Q. What effect should "CMS Canonical Enable" and which pages does it affect?
A. It simply enables to set canonical URL for CMS or Static pages.
Q. What are the Action Names in "No Index No Follow" for?
A. This is useful for developers. Eg., they can set no index no follow for any dynamic page (such as review or wishlist).
Q. Do router names in "No Index No Follow" mean search engines will not index and follow the pages in the list?
A. Yes - this is it exactly. This is also useful for developers.
